He was born July 11, 1939, in Wisner, LA, a son of the late Joseph C. and Sitha (Thornhill) Hartzog. His brother, Charles Wesley Hartzog, and a sister, Jeanette Maddox, also preceded him in death. He was a United States Navy veteran, had worked over 50 years in the oil field industry, and was the owner and operator of Custom Wellhead Services, LLC. He enjoyed fishing and was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Connie Morgan; sons, Charles W. Hartzog of New Orleans, LA, Tyler Hartzog of Blanchard, LA; daughters, Stephanie Lewis of Conroe, TX, Caryn Tipton and Patsy Hartzog, both of Sissonville, WV, and Kelly Virani of Blanchard, LA: stepsons, Harry Berry of Clendenin, WV, Shannon Williamson of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, and Greg Williamson of Huntington, WV; stepdaughter, Alison Berry of Shreveport, LA; brother, Joseph (Elizabeth) Hartzog of Lafayette, LA; sisters, Linda (Charles) Desmares, and Bobbie (Neal) Cheramie, all of Houma, LA; 18 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, WV, with Kevin Kemerer officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service at Castro Funeral Home in West Virginia. Visitation will be from 9:00a.m. until service time on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Chauvin Funeral Home,Inc. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park. U.S. Veteran ======================
