VERNAL JOSEPH HOLMES died Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Atlanta, GA. 
He was 72, a native of Klotzville, LA and a resident of Atlanta, GA. 

Visiting at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville, from 2:00pm to 
4:30pm Friday, July 26, 2013. Visiting at St. Augustine Catholic Church in 
Klotzville, LA from 9:00am to Religious Services at 10:00am Saturday, July 27, 
2013 conducted by Father Gordian Iwuji, MSP. 

Burial in St. Augustine Catholic Church cemetery in Klotzville. 

Survived by 3 sisters, Vivian Holmes James (Clifton), Dorita Holmes James 
(Jerald), and Bernice Williams; 3 brothers, Herbert Holmes (Rosiamary), Warren 
and Varris Holmes; Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
Preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Clara Holmes; 3 sisters, Joann 
Holmes, Annie Bell Holmes, and Anna Holmes Brown; 1 brother, Alfred Holmes, Sr; 
3 brothers-in-law, George Williams, Sr., Matthew Buggage, and Percy Brown; 1 
sister-in-law, Thelma Holmes.
