Agnes Daspit Kennedy, 97, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:30 p.m. 
Wednesday, July 17, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Francis de 
Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.

She is survived by her sisters, Katharine Daspit and Louise Daspit Geary, of New 
Orleans; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. "Mike" Kennedy; daughter, 
Elisabeth Wright Steigner Schmitt; parents, Robert Valentine Daspit and Margaret 
Lee Butler Daspit; brothers, Robert Daspit Jr., John Daspit and Woodson Daspit; 
and sisters, Carolyn Daspit McMurry and Annie B. Daspit.

She was a retired school teacher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice 
or for memorial Masses.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
