Phillip James Matherne, 63, a native and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, June 
25, 2013.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Temple of Praise Church on Wayne 
Avenue in Houma.

He is survived by his brothers, Gary P., Anthony A., Kenneth (Hilda), Floyd F. 
and Thomas D. Matherne, all of Houma; sisters, Sue Kitchens, of Patterson, 
Nancy LeBouef, of Houma, Margaret (Ricardo) Yerena, of Houma, and Mary McKee, 
of Houma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alban and Marie Rousseau Matherne; and 
brother, Ernest Johnny Matherne.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
