Edward J. Simmons Sr., 79, a native of Supreme and resident of Thibodaux passed 
away on July 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by family.

A visitation will be held honoring Edward Simmons Sr on July 10, 2013 from 8:30 
a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux, 
LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at the church. 

Edward Simmons Sr. will be buried in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in 
Thibodaux after mass.

Edward Simmons Sr. is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Baradell 
Simmons; his three loving children, Diana S. Ordoyne and husband Rusty Sr., 
Melanie S. Kraemer and husband Robert, and Edward Simmons Jr. and wife Cathy; 
his five wonderful grandchildren, Rusty Ordoyne Jr., Brooke K. Cortez, Brian 
Kraemer, Cameron and Philip Simmons; and his two precious great grandchildren, 
Cy and Liam Cortez; and his only sister and brother in law, Betty S. Thibodeaux 
and husband Russell Thibodeaux.

Edward Simmons Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Elise 
Boudreaux Simmons.

He was a lifelong member of the Lower Texas Hunting Club.

A special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice for all their care, help, and support at 
this trying time.
