Brent Michael Stevens, 61, a native and resident of Thibodaux, 
died peacefully in his home, Friday, July 12, 2013, after a short battle with 
brain cancer. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 at St. John the 
Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be 
celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church, 

with burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux. 

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna Guillot Stevens; daughter, 
Courtney Lynn Stevens; son, Cass Michael Stevens and daughter-in-law Morgan 
M.Stevens; grandchildren, Kate, Carter; twins, Paige and Madeline Stevens; 
mother, Frances Plaisance Stevens; sisters, Ginger Hebert and Tess Talbot. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph F. Stevens; grandparents, Felix 
Stevens and Julia Richard Stevens and Emile Plaisance Sr. and Alida Leblanc 
Plaisance. 

He was the owner of Stevens Cabinet Works for 35 years. He enjoyed woodworking 
and spending time with his grandchildren. 

He will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family would like to 
extend a special thank you to University of Texas MD Anderson Medical Center, 
Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Our Lady of 
the Lake Regional Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospice, for all the care, love 
and support in their time of need.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
