Timmy J. Authement, 54, a native and resident of Houma, was taken from us far 
too soon, Monday, Aug. 5, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna Hoob Authement; son, Jacob R. 
Authement and wife, Cara; daughter, Desiree M. Authement and life partner, 
Angie Eschete; grandchildren, Morgan and Noah Authement, Jace and Gracie 
Boudreaux and Dustin and Derek Bergeron; mother, Lois "Dollye" Leathers and 
husband, Nathan; father, Gervais J. Authement and wife, Mavis; brothers, Gerry 
Authement and wife, Judy, Danny Authement Sr. and wife, Donna, and Richye 
"Rich" Leathers and wife, Jodi; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and 
coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur Authement and Agnes 
Gervais Authement, and Arthur Dupre and Edna Dupre.

Tim loved the outdoors, whether hunting or fishing, but he was happiest 
spending time with his family. His grandchildren made him smile and laugh 
whenever they spent time together. 
He was a man of few words, and he was respected by his friends, coworkers and 
all who knew him.
