He was a native of Bayou Blue, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, August 30, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his, Sons: Melvin Blanchard and wife Donna "Cookie", and Alvin Blanchard Jr and companion Karen Pickard, Daughter: Anna Dupre and late husband Nolan, Brothers:Gary Blanchard and Horace Blanchard, Grandchildren: Sandy Naquin and husband Carl "Pork", Sheri Neil and husband Dwayne, Corey Dupre and wife Tiffany, Melvina Lyons and husband Ricky, Sharon Beard, Terry Mounts and husband David, Rocky Blanchard and companion Sarah, Josh Blanchard and companion Liz, Lisa Blanchard, Brent Blanchard and wife Daisy, Nicole Blanchard and companion Tommy, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, Spouse: Hazel LeBouef, Parents: Eugene and Eunice Blanchard, Step Mother: Virginia Blanchard, Brother: Jeffery Blanchard, Sisters: Mae Leblanc, Pearl Trahan and Theresa Naquin. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at STAT Home Health, and Haydel Memorial Hospice.
