Margaret "Marguerite" Himel Bourgeois, 91, a native of Thibodaux and resident 
of Houma, was born July 20, 1922, and died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Thibodaux Funeral Home and from 8 
a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. A Mass of Christian 
burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her three children, Ron Bourgeois, Barbara Olivier and 
husband, Gary, and Joanne Morvant; sister, Lois Himel; 10 grandchildren; 14 
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis P. Bourgeois; parents, Edgar 
Himel and Henrietta Benoit Himel; brothers, Russell, Whitney, and Horace Himel; 
and sisters, Lilly Rose Gros and Verna Boudreaux Arcement.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
