Alvira Perkins Cardino, 78, a native of Barataria, LA and a resident of Des 
Allemands, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at St. 
Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church 

with burial to follow in St Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands.

She is survived by her son, Paul V. Cardino III and wife Kathy; daughters, 
Twyla Dufrene and husband Riley, Paula Madere, Jayme Guzzardi and husband Joey, 
Heidi Rome and husband Shawn; grandchildren, Dayna, Dixi, Riley II, Keithlynn, 
Edison, Dylan, Shawn, Seth; step grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan; great 
grandchildren Parker and Jonah; step grandchild, Grayson; brothers, Bobby, 
Norwood, Calwin, Mark and Ben Perkins, sisters Aimee Lormand and Linda 
Tranchant.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul V. Cardino, Jr.; parents Benny J. 
and Alvina Perkins; and brothers, Gary and Rene Perkins.

The family would like to thank Luling Living Center and River Region Hospice 
for their dedicated care.
