Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 16 at 12 noon at Samart-Mothe 
Funeral Home in Mathews for Herman “Huy” Chiasson, 88, a native of Larose and 
resident of Lockport, who passed away on August 11, 2013 at 7:24 p.m.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 15 and on 
Friday, August 16 from 9 a.m. till 12 noon service at the funeral home in 
Mathews. 

Burial will be at Barrios Cemetery.

He is survived by sons, Ted Chiasson, Michael (Joyce) Chiasson; daughters, 
Debra Chiasson Cheramie (Carl White, Jr.); sisters, Francis  (McCain) Bourg and 
Arnic (Roland) Sevin; grandchildren, Billy Chiasson, Alan Cheramie, Jr., LeeAnn 
Cheramie, Joni (Jimmy) C. Garris.

He was preceded in death by loving wife of 63 years, Lula Mae Rodrigue 
Chiasson; parents, Serville and Augustine Dufrene Chiasson; son, Steven 
Chiasson; brother, Arnold (Juliet) Chiasson; grandchildren, Michelle Chiasson 
and Angela Danielle Stevens; sisters, Essie (Edmond Robichaux), Eula (Ellis) 
Cheramie, Irene (Vories) Pierce and Anna Mae (Nolan Sr.) Vinet.
