Shawn John Foret, 6, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 7:27 PM. 
He was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM 
at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 8:00 AM until 
service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on 
Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. 

Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his parents, Wade Lee and Stephanie Whitten Foret, Houma, LA, 
brother, Logan Foret, sister, Chelsey Foret, grandparents, John Whitten, Sr. 
and Lisa Whitten, John Charles Bergeron, Jr., great grandparents, Emma Rose 
Terrebonne Bergeron, Audrey Brunet, aunts and uncles, John Whitten, Jr. and 
wife Rosalyn Whitten, Timothy and wife Meghan Whitten and Daniel Whitten, Lena 
Ann Gervais and husband Jimmy, Melinda Scott and husband Leland, Roy P. Luke, 
Cassandra Foret, cousins, Dontevien, Rayzell and Devonte Foret, Dezerea Foret, 
James, Zachary and Skylar Whitten, Derrick Dehart, Alexis and Peyton Whitten.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Angelo Brunet, Sr., 
Lawrence Leon Whitten, Dorothy Glover and Thomas F. Glover, Sr., John Charles 
Bergeron, Sr. and Norris Jack Parfait.

The family would like to thank the teachers and staff at Bayou Blue Elementary, 
where Shawn was a first grader, for all their hard work and patience. The 
family would also like to thank his Home Health Nurse, John Mire and Deanna 
Verdin of PSA Home Health Care. The Lord took Shawn to Heaven after a long hard 
battle. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
