Griffin, 62, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Lockport, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church cemetery. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Christine Champagne Griffin; sons, Chad Griffin and wife, Veronica, and Corey Griffin and wife, Aimee; grandchildren, Adela Thibodeaux, Coby Griffin, Logan Griffin, Bethany Boura, Elizabeth Griffin and Ella Griffin; beloved brother-in-law, Mike Eschete and wife, Deborah; beloved friend, Ronald Chiasson; brothers, Randy Griffin and Bobby Griffin; sister, Adela Dupre; and his beloved dog, GeGe. He was preceded in death by his father, Ferdinand Griffin Sr.; mother, Mabel T. Griffin; brother, Ferdinand Griffin Jr.; and sister, Marie Eschete. Freddie was a simple man who lived life to the fullest. He was a selfless servant to all people who needed help regardless of creed or color. The community has truly lost a treasure. Thanks to the nurses and staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Family Doctor Clinic and St. Catherine's Hospice. Special thanks go to Freddie's employer, Robichaux Ford of Thibodaux, who was always supportive and caring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Catherine's Hospice. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements. ======================
