Rosa Benavidez Lazo, 35, a native of Nicaragua and resident of Houma, died 
Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. 

Burial will be in Palacaguina, Nicaragua at a later date.

She is survived by her son, Rosmar Josoé Olivera Benavidez; brothers, Cesar 
Dodimiro Talavera, Fernando Alex Benavidez Lazo, Victor Manuel Benavidez Lazo, 
José Alfredo Benavidez Lazo, Juan Francisco Benavidez Lazo and Romon Estevan 
Benavidez Lazo; and sisters, Mania Maodalena Benavidez Lazo, Yovana del Socorra 
Benavidez Lazo and Candida Rosa Benavidez Lazo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando Eliseo Benavidez Amador and 
Candida Rosa Lazo Castillo.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
