Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Jan Blanchard Cancienne and husband, Wayne, Mary Ellen Blanchard Jennings and husband, David, and Susan Ann Blanchard, who together loved and cared for her every day. She also had three grandchildren, Amber Cancienne and companion, Willie Hebert, Jacey Tanner and companion, Chase Guthrie, and Branum Tanner, all of whom loved and were devoted to their grandmother. She also is survived by a son, Ray "Pinky" Blanchard and wife, Paula, and grandchildren, Kellie and Chad Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philogene Engeron and Agnes Boutte Grice; stepfather, Charlie Grice; former husband, Ray Joseph Blanchard; and husband, Jack Livings. Betty had a passion for reading all types of materials, books, poetry, magazines and newspapers and she loved to write. She loved flowers and plants, and enjoyed working in her yard. If she found an empty spot in the yard she would always find something to put there. She loved and was devoted to her pets, Noel, Chance, and Minnie Moo. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Saint Francis de Sales Cathedral. She retired from Baker Sand Control after 30 years of service as an executive secretary. The family would like to give thanks to all of her sitters, physicians and all the nurses for their care and support of Betty during the final weeks of her life. The family would especially like to thank Eva and Roy Roberts and their daughter Natanya for their love and support. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
