He died August 19, 2013. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Pointe-Aux-Chenes Fire Station off of Hwy 665 and Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 9:00am to service time at Pointe-Aux-Chenes Fire Station off of Hwy 665. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Burial: St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery He is survived by his wife of 58 years Geraldine LeBouef Neil, five sons Jerry Neil Jr. and wife Tammy, Kerry Neil and wife Brenda, Teddy Neil and wife Rhonda, Darren Neil and wife Lisa, all of Pointe-Aux-Chenes, and Derek Neil and wife Megan of Montegut, LA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Jospeh and Vagnolia Neil, an infant daughter, 8 brothers John "White", Howard, Ira, Dewey, Edward, Malvin, Calvin, and Leroy Neil, 3 sisters Mable Neil Naquin, Theresa and Magnolia Neil, and 1 granddaughter Stacie Neil. He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Jerry was a commercial fisherman and a retired crane operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Jerry was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. The family would like to thank Dr. Ray Cinnater and Journey Hospice and staff for their love and care. ======================
