Gregory A. Richard, 55, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Wednesday, 
Aug. 21, 2013. 

Greg was an outstanding athlete at Thibodaux High School. He was fortunate to 
have an opportunity to try to make the LSU team as a ""walk-on"" player after 
high school. He loved sports, especially LSU and Saints football. Greg was 
really looking forward to the coming season. Geaux Tigers and Saints this year 
for Greg Richard.

A memorial visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. 
Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian memorial will be at 10 
a.m. Monday at the church.

He is survived by his mother, Dorris Roux Richard; brothers, Al Richard, Jerome 
Richard and wife, Connie, and Jim Richard; sisters, Ronnie R. Caillouet, Polly 
R. Rodrigue and husband, Jimmy, and Marcy R. Webre and husband, Mark; and 
nieces and nephews, Rebecca R. Davis, Jarod Richard, Jennifer Richardel, Amy 
Bonneval, Jacob Richard, Alex Richard, Lauren Neal, Ryan Webre, Marc Caillouet 
and Victoria Joy Richard.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Richard.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
