Linton A. Soley Sr., 68, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, 
died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Tuesday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial 
will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, 

with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine L. Soley; sons, Linton Soley Jr., Brant 
Soley, Byron Soley and Joshua Gisclair; daughter, Theresa Leblanc; five 
stepchildren; brother, Harry Soley; sisters, Rosie Verdin, Inez Matherne and 
Anna Mae Demet; 17 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leanis and Odelia Soley; sons, Billy 
and Delane Soley; brother Vinis Soley; sisters, Rose Jane Soley, Pearl Miller 
and Antoinette Soley; and two great-grandsons.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
