She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Perry Verdin, Richard Verdin, and Paul J. Verdin and wife Gracie, Daughters: Carolyn Pierre and husband Ernest, and Darlene Naquin and Gerald Naquin, Brothers: Varnis Parfait and wife Joyce, Cyrus Parfait and John Parfait and wife Jean, Sister: Josephine P Billiot, Annie Mae Parfait and Sarah Pellegrin and husband Harry, Grandchildren: Melanie George and husband Jerry, Kevin Pierre and wife Leslie, Jackie Sapia and husband Patrick, Marilyn Billiot and husband Lou Lou, Gerald Naquin Jr and wife Shannon, Stacie Gautreaux and husband Tobi, Stephanie Verdin, Jason Verdin and fiance’ Dayna, Kylie, Janie, and Ricki Verdin, and Steven Verdin. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Joseph Verdin; Parents Joseph and Edna Parfait; Brother, Linus Parfait; sister, Ernestine Parfait and Rita W. Verdin. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She loved to cook for the family on Sundays. She also loved to listen to music and dance, solving her puzzle books, playing cards, and going shrimping with her husband. The family would like to especially thank her caregivers and staff at Chateau Terrebonne Healthcare, and her caregivers who help at her home. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. ======================
