Octavia "Doris" Walker, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died Sunday, 
July 28, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Benedict the 
Moor Catholic Church in Napoleonville. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 
a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church cemetery in Napoleonville.

She is survived by her son, Alvin Soco Sr., of Thibodaux; sisters, Lorraine 
Soco, of Thibodaux, Carol Ann Soco, of Beaumont, Texas, Ora Mae Soco, of 
Hammond, and Denise Soco, of Houston, Texas; brother, Harry Soco, of Thibodaux; 
nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Walker; parents, Houston and 
Octavia Gilton Soco; sisters, Delores S. Johnson, Geneva S. Fleanders, Alice S. 
Thomas, Hilda S. Robinson and Vivian Soco; and brothers, Justin, James, Alvin 
and Houston Soco.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of 
arrangements.
