Sylvia Ruffin Wilson, 78, a native and resident of Morgan City, died at 12:08 
p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Siracusa 
Recreation Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the center, 

with burial in Morgan City Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Wilson; daughters, Sandra 
(Alvin) Wilkerson, Joan Denise Wilson and Tracey R. Wilson, of Morgan City; 
stepson, John Cooper Sr., of Morgan City; seven grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nathan Ruffin and Julia Gates 
Ruffin; parents, Arthur "Boone" Ruffin and Julia Watson Ruffin; and brother, 
Shelby Arthur Ruffin Sr.

Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
