Wilbert L. Gros, 86, native and resident of Labadieville passed away September 
9, 2013. 

He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a retired diesel mechanic. 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 9:00 am until funeral 
time at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville, LA. A Mass of Christian 

Burial will follow at 11:00am at St. Philomena Catholic Church Cemetery. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pearl Whitney Prince Gros; 
daughters, Elaine Stanley and Rachel Prince; sons, Robin Prince and wife, 
Arlene, Jerome Gros and wife, Heidi, Farrel Gros and wife, Rita; eleven 
grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Ella Mae “Mamie” Borne, 
Mary Ann Bergeron, and Geraldine “Deenie” Talbot. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Camille and Justillia Barrios Gros; 
son, Noel Prince; brothers, Norris, Lawrence, Irvin, Harold, and Collins; 
sisters, Lucille Callahan, Gertrude Lagrange, Elma Ordoyne, Hazel Rousseau and 
Laura Gros. 

Wilbert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by his 
family and friends. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Audubon 
Health and Rehabilitation for the loving care they extended to “PawPaw”. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Philomena Church 
Building Fund.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
