The Rev. Johnel "Butte" Guidroz, 44, a native and resident of Raceland, died 
Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Residence 
Baptist Church in Houma. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in Greater New Fountain Cemetery in Lockport. 

He is survived by his father, Joseph Smith Sr.; sons, Trayvon Duane Guidroz, of 
Houma, and Jon'terious Lamar Guidroz, of Thibodaux; brothers, Lionel, Stanley 
and David Guidroz and Joseph Jr. and Lloyd Smith; and sisters, Patricia Simmons 
and Amanda Smith. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Ann Guidroz Smith; sister, 
Chryel Smith; and grandparents, Nellie Franklyn, Wallace Guidroz Sr. and Louis 
and Bertha Smith. 

He was an employee of Kennedy Funeral Home. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
