Visitation will be on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Thibodaux Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo from 8:30 AM till funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo church cemetery, Hwy 308, Thibodaux. He is survived by his wife, Janet Comb Lasseigne; children, Todd Lasseigne and wife Heather, Angela Prejean and husband Troy, Cherie Quentin and husband Trevor; mother, Sadia Lasseigne; mother in law, Laura Comb; brothers, Dickie Lasseigne, Charles Lasseigne, Benny Lasseigne; sisters, Judy Dykes, Sylvia Roudeze; grandchildren, Cameron Prejean, Alaina Prejean, Grady Quentin, Hudson Quentin; step grand daughter, Asia Quentin. Preceded in death by father, Bernard Lasseigne; father in law, Louis Comb. He was the Director of Grounds for 32 1/2 years at Nicholls State University. He was a florist and horticulturist. In his spare time, he enjoyed speaking French, traveling, and landscaping. His best times were spent entertaining family, grandchildren, and close friends. He was past president of the Louisiana Society for Horticultural Research and an honorary alumni of Nicholls State University. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Louisiana Society for Horticultural Research, P.O. Box 51366, Lafayette, LA, 70505-1366 in honor of Leonard Lasseigne.
