She was a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 10:00 AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 PM at the church with burial following at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church cemetery. She is survived by her son, Noah Pierre Matherne, Jr. and wife Denise, Grand Caillou, daughters, Mary Jane Prosperie, Bourg, LA, Mary Ann Moreau, Venice, LA, Annie Bourg and husband Donald, Chauvin, LA, Shirley Ann Kibodeaux and husband Michael, Houma, LA, Regina Dupre and husband Taylor "Paul”, Houma, LA, 20 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 21 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Pierre Matherne, Sr. parents, Sidney Carrere, Sr. and Pauline Benoit Carrere, son, Joseph Ernest Matherne, daughter, Felicia "Eva" Fields, sons in law, Hasley “Tee” Prosperie, Berlin Moreau, Sr. “Black” and Henry Fields, grandson, Eugene Fields, brothers, Sidney Carrere, II, John Allen Carrere, Joseph Ernest Carrere. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. ======================
