Claudia R. Pitre, 97, a native and resident of Chackbay, LA, died on Sunday, 
September 22, 2013. 
She was born September 5, 1916.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, LA from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am 

followed by burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in 
Chackbay.

She is survived by daughters, Loredia Guidry, Lorina Daigle, Georganna 
Kliebert; sons, Eddie Pitre, Sr., Steward Pitre; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-
grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by husband Wilfred Pitre; parents, Adam Rodrigue and 
Amanda Peltier Rodrigue; 8 brothers; 6 sisters; 2 grandsons.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casinos.
