SONGY, RONALD "BUTCH" 

Ronald Joseph "Butch" Songy, 67, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Belhaven, N.C., died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

He is survived by his sons, Mark Songy and wife, Christie, of Montegut, and 
Beau Songy and wife, Terra, of Greenville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Cody, 
William, Kaylin, Kyndell and Bree; sisters, Barbara Nelson and husband T.J., of 
Houma, and Carolyn Carte and husband, Ralph, of Paradis, Jeri Songy, of 
Belhaven, N.C., and Janice Songy, of Houma. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Will Songy. 

He was born in Terrebonne Parish Sept. 8, 1946, to the late Roland and Leona 
Martin Songy. 
He was a 1964 graduate of South Terrebonne High School, was a parishioner of 
Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, and was the owner/operator of A-C Service 
Company in Belhaven, N.C. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sydney Free Will 
Baptist Church, 4345 S. Savannah Rd., Belhaven, NC 27810. 

Paul Funeral Home and Crematory of Washington, N.C. is in charge of 
songy-ronaldarrangements.
