Edwin "Cook" Voisin Jr., 85, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. 
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. 

A private burial will be held at Grace Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, Primo Voisin and wife, Dena, and Eddie Voisin and 
wife, Kimberley; brother, Fleming Voisin; grandchildren, Tammy Simon, Matthew 
Voisin and Jessica Voisin; and great-grandchildren, Aleesia Simon, Carson 
Voisin and Noah Voisin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Duplantis Voisin; parents, Edwin 
Voisin Sr. and Bertha Bourg Voisin; and sister, Florence Jessen.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
