Joyce Young, 76, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Friday, Sept. 6, 
2013. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Morning Star 
Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
the church, 

with burial in Morning Star Cemetery No. 2. 

She is survived by her brothers, Paul, Gerald and Robert Young; and sisters, 
Ann Brown, Lois Blanchard, Doris Wilson, Kathryn Frazier, Vallerie Willis and 
Fay Hill. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wellington Sr. and Thelma Young; son, 
David Young; brothers, Wellington Jr., Earnest and Johnny Young; sister, Betty 
Brown; and grandparents, the Rev. Sherman Washington, Hattie Washington, Walter 
Young and Louvenia Young. 

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
