Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church cemetery in Vacherie. He will be greatly missed by his children, Francis (Barbara) Becnel, Robert (Debbie) Becnel, Molly (Kenneth) Levet and Rene (Evelyn) Becnel; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and sister, Jane B. Percle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Irene Becnel; parents, Abel Becnel Sr. and Margueritte Falgoust Becnel; brothers, Abel Jr., Louis, Francois "Tony" and Joseph Marcel Becnel; sisters, Althe B. Rome, Delta B. Rodrigue, Anne Becnel, Thernica B. Becnel, Yvonne B. Percle, Marie B. Zeringue, Janet B. folse and Mabel B. Guillot; and grandson, Jamin F. Becnel. He was a World War II veteran and worked at Avondale Shipyard for 38 years. Rose Lynn Funeral Home in Lutcher is in charge of arrangements. ======================
