She was the daughter of Henri Jean-Baptiste Heck and Sophie Hortense Dupont Heck, and was born in Brusly May 10, 1913. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at 2025 Stuart Ave. in Baton Rouge. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Brusly. She is survived by her children, Colette (Allen) Lottinger, Tonsie (Pat) Beach, Al Jr. (Margarette) Moreau, Doug (Elaine) Moreau, Becky (Ned) Newsham, Margo (Mac) McCarthy, Jeanne (Steve) Caldarera, Michele (Richard) Rathbone, and André Moreau. She had 10 children, 32 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Al Moreau Sr.; husband, Dale Bennett Sr.; daughter, Suzanne Marie Moreau; grandson, Charles Moreau Green-Newsham; her parents; and nine brothers and sisters. She graduated from LSU, class of 1933, where she was a member of the girls basketball, volleyball, and tumbling teams. Her keen wit, sparkling sense of humor, and love of music made any gathering a special event. She was a dear and treasured wife and the heart of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charlie Green Service Scholarship, Father Ryan High School, 700 Norwood Drive, Nashville, TN 37203.
