BENOIT, CLARENCE J. 

Clarence J. Benoit, 71, resident of Independence, went to his Heavenly Home 
Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. 

Clarence was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be 
missed dearly. He enjoyed gardening in his yard and being the handyman of the 
house, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family.

No funeral arrangements were announced. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gail M. Benoit; daughters, Cory Tabor, 
Wanda Vedros, Mary Gail Jones and Dianna B. Sherman; sons, Adley and John 
Braud, Clarence Jr., Timmy and Terry Benoit; brothers, Clifton and Junius 
Benoit; sisters, Shirley Hoffpauir and Daloris Fields; 20-plus grandchildren 
and numerous great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his sons, Chris, Robert and Tony Benoit; daughter, 
Elizabeth Benoit; great-grandchild, Gavyn Braud; brother, David Benoit; and his 
parents, Sidney and Laura Benoit. 
Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home in Hammond is in charge of arrangements.
