Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1310.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Roberta Ann Fleming Boudreaux, 69, a native of Houma and resident of Thibodaux, ended her extended battle with cancer, Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013. She was born Oct. 12, 1944. A memorial visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux. She is survived by her husband, of 49 years, Joseph E. Boudreaux; son, Jean R. "Johnny" Boudreaux and wife, Victoria, of Youngsville; daughter, Joycelyn R. Boudreaux Hazard, of Houma; mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Fleming, of Houma; sister, Edna Pauline Fleming, of Houma; grandchildren, Cecilia K. "Cee" Hazard, Josephine K. "Joie" Hazard, Isabelle R. "Izzy" Hazard, John J. "Sonny" Hazard V, of Houma, Ashley E. Boudreaux and Sarah L. Boudreaux, of Youngsville; sisters-in-law, Lorraine M. Boudreaux, Mary Jane Boudreaux Rieth and husband, Gilbert V. Rieth Jr., and Helen M. Boudreaux Richard and husband, Francis J. Richard; brother-in-law, Guy G. "Jerry" Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Jules Fleming, of Houma; and sister, Kathleen Fleming Jones, of Thibodaux. She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. Until her retirement from Terrebonne Parish School System, she enjoyed her career as an educator of American history at Oaklawn Junior High School. She especially enjoyed challenging young people to achieve the best of their potential as young men and women whether they were students or grandchildren. Her greatest love was the caring and development of her son, daughter and grandchildren in their pursuit of their life's goals. She loved to travel with her husband, especially the cruises and trips to Hawaii. The family wants to extend thanks to Drs. Ellis, Campbell-Chauvin, Dunn and Arias, of Thibodaux Regional's Cancer Center; Drs. Boudreaux, Milek, Maki and Leonard, of Thibodaux; Dr. F. Rau, of Houma; and Dr. Kline, of Oschner, for their loving care. The deepest gratitude is extended to the staff of Thibodaux Regional Hospital, the most caring staff of Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center and to St. Joseph's Hospice Care for the love and devotion provided during her battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society , c/o Lori Knoblock, 2721 Hwy 308, Raceland, LA 70394. funds will be distributed between Terrebonne High School Relay For Life (Cece Hazard) and Thibodaux Relay For Life (Lori Knoblock).
