Raynard "Ray" J. Bourgeois, 63, a native of Gramercy and resident of Kraemer, 
was born Feb. 6, 1950, and passed away Monday, October 21, 2013.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Lawrence the 
Martyr Catholic Church in Kraemer. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 
a.m. Wednesday, 

with burial in St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church cemetery in Kraemer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda Cortez Bourgeois; 
children, Tammy Bourgeois and partner, Gretchen Percle, and Chad Bourgeois and 
wife, Traci; grandchildren, Trey and Alli Bourgeois; and brothers, Raymond, 
Bernard, and Bryant Bourgeois; and many other loving family members.

He is preceded in death by his son, Russ Joseph Bourgeois; parents, Edward and 
Cecile Bourgeois; sister, Katherine Bourgeois Duhon; mother and father-in-law, 
Marion and Antoine Cortez; and sister-in-law, Angela Cortez.

He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. The love of his 
life was his wife and his greatest passion was the importance of family. He 
left an impression on every life he touched and will be remembered for his 
honesty, integrity, loyalty, and sense of commitment.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
