Lucy Marcel Cunningham, 96, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, died Monday, 
Oct. 28, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Louis 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the 
church, 

with burial in St. Louis Catholic Church cemetery. 

She is survived by her daughters, Verna Dupre, Betty Sonier and husband, Dewey, 
Gloria LeCompte and husband, Gary, and Jenny Arceneaux and husband, Lawrence 
Sr.; son, Narry Saucier and wife, Audrey; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-
grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Angelle Thibodaux Marcel; 
husband, Roy Cunningham Sr.; fathers of her children, Julien Hebert and Raleigh 
Saucier; son-in-law, Floyd Dupre; grandchildren, Cheryl S. Bunnell and Rory 
LeCompte; brothers, Norris, Dewey, Lance and Ernest Marcel; and sisters, 
Lillian Blanchard, Eula Stevens and Agatha Rogers. 

The family would like to thank Haydel Memorial Hospice. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
