Margie DaVaine, 76, a native of Lockport and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Monday, Oct. 7, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. 
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. 

She is survived by her devoted companion, Lloyd Freeman, of Thibodaux; 
daughter, Aline Dean and husband, Ross Sr.; brothers, Alvin James, Allen, 
Michael and Charles Bergeron; sisters, Audrey Ellender, Esther Lirette, and 
Althea Millet; grandchildren, Ross Dean Jr. and Angela Cunningham; and great-
grandchildren, Khia Dean and Jacob Cunningham. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Justilan Bourgeois and Leona Crochet; 
brothers, Eugene, Roy, Ernest, Marcellian and Joseph Bourgeois and Vergis 
Landry; and sisters, Bridget Bergeron and Bessie Perrlioux. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
