Francis "Dell" Fitch, 72, a native and resident of Dulac, died Thursday, Oct. 
3, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and 
from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac. 
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in Holy Family Catholic Church cemetery in Dulac. 

She is survived by her sister, Laura Verdin and husband, Paul Larry; son, 
Anthony Fitch and wife, Laurie; daughters, Betty Lou Jarvis and Clara Verdin 
and husband, Jessie; brother, Adam Fitch and wife, Rose; sister, Linda Lou 
Pierre and husband, Joseph June; four grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Yen" Verdin; father, Cyril 
Fitch; mother, Helen Fitch; son, Calvin Peter Verdin; grandchild, Jeremy Fitch; 
brother, Wilbert Fitch; and sister, Mary Jean Dion. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
