JACKSON, PATRICIA "PAT" COLAR  

Patricia "Pat" Colar Jackson, 50, a native of Jeanerette and resident of 
Franklin, died at 4:53 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Jones Funeral Home 
in Franklin. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. 

She is survived by her sons, Dwayne Jackson (Opeal Dempsey), of Jeanerette, 
Darnell Colar, Terrell Jackson (Princess A'lura Wiggins),of Baton Rouge, Rufus 
(Sarah) Jackson Sr., and Delana (Sueana) Jackson, of Sioux City, Iowa; 
daughters, Letina (James Morris) Edwards, Angelia (Jacob) Picard Sr., Lahouma 
Jackson and Barbarlyn Jackson, of Franklin; brothers, Kenneth Colar Sr., of 
Four Corners, Donnie Colar and Jessie Brown Sr., of Franklin, and James Colar, 
of New Iberia; sisters, Glenda Colar, of Jeanerette, and Cheryl Robertson, of 
Franklin; companion, Anthony Rubbins, of Jeanerette; 55 grandchildren; and 50 
great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Alfred Colar; husband, Rufus 
"Frogee" Jackson Sr.; brothers, Alfred Colar Jr. and Gregory Colar; and 
sisters, Linda Arceneaux, Margie Mae Colar and Clara Colar. 

Jones Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
