Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday day at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Lottie Oncale Johnson; stepsons, Gerard (Alison) Arcement and Barry (Dena) Arcement; stepdaughter, Joan (Troy) Bourgeois; grandchildren, Jacob, Casey, Allie, Blake, Cody, Rustin, Brandon, Brody and Drake; great-grandchildren, Leila, Dalan, Gunnar, Reed and Izaiah; brother, William Macauley Johnson; and nephew, Derrick Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy Johnson and Francis Grant Johnson; and brother, Earnest Johnson. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1950. He also graduated from Southern Methodist University of Dallas where he received a doctorate in law. He also received a Louisiana law degree from Tulane University. He was a retired attorney in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes after 55 years. In retirement, he loved singing in the church choir, gardening, fishing, and watching Saints and LSU football games. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 39 years and family and friends.
