MARTIN, RICHARD  

Richard D. Martin, 78, a native of Gibson and resident of Morgan City, died 
Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church 
in Morgan City. 

Burial will be in the Morgan City cemetery. 

He is survived by daughters, Shelia Ann Martin, Bertha (Freddie) Bougeare, 
Kathleen (Robert) Diggs, Anita Mouton, Gertie (Joseph) Ross, Alida Martin 
(Nathaniel) Clark, Katherine (Clarence) Granger, and Angela (David) Banks; 
brother; George (Mary) Bogen; sister, Willie Mae Gibson; step-children, Ray 
Pellerin, Ronald Brashear and Lillian Pellerin; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-
grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Martin Sr. and Gertrude Brown 
Martin Bogen, sisters, Cora Lee Bogen, Estelle Martin Wiggins and Annie Mae 
Martin; and brothers; Joseph David Martin and Daniel Martin. 

Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
