Louise Chiasson Oncale, 96, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at the Lafourche 
Home for the Aged. She was a native and resident of Chackbay. 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Our Lady of 
Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian burial will be 
at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. 

She is survived by her children, Mary (Alvin) Barrilleaux, Dolores Richmond, 
Leonard (Marion) Oncale Jr., Kathleen (Richard) Gaudet, Janis (Ronald) Naquin, 
Joanne (Craig) Brown and Helen (Tommy) Ledet; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-
grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Oncale Sr.; parents, Henry 
and Louisa Boudreaux Chiasson Sr.; brother, Henry Chiasson Jr.; sisters, Adline 
Chiasson and Viola Everette; and son-in-law, Bill Richmond. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's 
Hospital, the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Society. 

The family would like to express special appreciation to the staff of the 
Lafourche Home for the Aged. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
