Melisa Marie Pellegrin, 51, a native of Grand Caillou and resident of Gray, 
died Friday, Oct. 11, 2013. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Samart Funeral 
Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral 
home, 

with burial in Roger's Cemetery. 

She is survived by her father, Elmer Pellegrin; her loving and caring son, Jade 
James Foret; brother, Tillery Pellegrin and wife, Darlene; sister, Tina 
Pellegrin Authement and husband, Elman; and godchild, Joni Pitre. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nita Pellegrin; maternal grandparents, 
Eula Mae Duplantis and Albert Duplantis Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Birdie 
Babin Pellegrin and Linest Pellegrin. 

Melisa was a diehard Saints and LSU fan. She loved her family and friends. Her 
best dish and favorite was shrimp fettucini. Melisa loved to laugh, joke and 
tell old stories. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
