Ismay Marie "Maw Maw" Theriot, 85, a native of Chauvin, longtime resident of 
Houma and former resident of Amelia, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, in Patterson. 

A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. 

She is survived by her daughters, Bernise Theriot, of Centerville, Verna 
Ponvelle and husband, Carroll, of Thibodaux, Diana Theriot, of Houma, and 
Darlene Savoy and husband, Calvin, of Centerville; eight grandchildren; 18 
great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Theriot; parents, Gilbert 
Bergeron and Marie Blanchard Bergeron; two brothers; four sisters; and great-
grandson, Gavin Chilton. 

Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
