Joseph "Bazoo" Verdin, 72, a native of Houma and resident of Dulac, died 
Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Saturday at Community Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 
a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Verdin; daughters, Charlene Curol, Earline 
Verdin, Arlene Snyder, Elaine Boquet, Darlene Provost, Marlene Sarchet, Jolene 
and Pauline Verdin and Sumerlene Carrere; 21 grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Alice Verdin; brothers, 
John Norris and Pete, Freddie, Curtis, Jessie, Albert and Anthony Verdin; and 
sisters, Elise Mae Verrett, Eva Dion, Vickie Lodrigue, Mary Dean and Mildred 
Verdin.
