All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ============================================================================= ANTILL, CHRIS SHANNON Chris Shannon Antill, 43, a loving father, husband, and musician, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. He was born Dec. 4, 1969, in Thibodaux. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Frist United Methodist Church in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with a reception to follow. He is survived by his wife, Pamela; son, Andrew, 24, a medical school student at LSU Health in Shreveport; and son, Nicholas, 12, a student at Liza Jackson Preparatory School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Brenda Antill, of Thibodaux. Chris and his family moved to Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., in order for him to serve as director of Music and Worship at First United Methodist Church. With more than 20 years of professional experience in music and in leading traditional, blended and contemporary styles of worship and choirs, he graciously, fervently, and faithfully served God. He touched the lives of many church members and musical communities in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Houma, Lafayette, Luling, New Orleans, Thibodaux and Senatobia, Miss. Chris held a Bachelor of Music Education degree in vocal music from Nicholls and a Master of Church Music degree with specialization in conducting from The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His thesis for a Doctor of Worship Studies degree at the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Orange Park, Fla., was recently completed. Chris will be remembered for his cooking and for his intense passion of music. But, most of all, he will be known for his adoration and overwhelming love of his family, wife Pam, and sons, Andrew and Nicholas. McLaughlin Mortuary in Ft.
