Murphy Francis Aucoin, 81, passed away Friday, November 22, 2013. 
He was born April 27, 1932 and was a native and resident of Thibodaux, LA.

Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2013 at Thibodaux Funeral Home in the 
Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on November 26, 2013 at Christ The Redeemer 
Catholic Church, Thibodaux, LA from 8:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial 
at 11:00 AM. 

The burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux, LA.

He was survived by his wife of 61 years, Verna L. Aucoin; daughters, Debra 
Landry and husband Larry, Darleen Oubre and husband Eric, and Cecelia 
"C"Aucoin; son, Murphy A. Aucoin and wife Lori; Grandchildren, Alayne Joffrion 
and husband Blake, Brett and Brandon Landry, Heath, Jeremy, and Austin Aucoin; 
great grandchildren, Logan and Emmalyn Joffrion; and sisters, Anna Mae 
Martinolich and Dolores Plaisance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Willie" and Celine R. Aucoin; 
step-father, Oniel Aucoin; brothers and sisters, Verna Chiasson, Ethel Andras, 
and Elton "Tony" Aucoin.

He was employed with Nick Martinolich for 57 years before retiring in 2001. His 
favorite past time was spending time at his Bayou Dularge camp fishing and 
shrimping, but most of of all he enjoyed his time with family and friends.

Murphy will be remembered for his love and adoration for his family and will be 
in our hearts forever.
