Elaine Durkins Austin, 68 a resident of Houma, Louisiana died on November 10, 
2013 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. 

Services will be held at Beacon Light Baptist Church on Saturday, November 16, 
2013. Visitation from 8:30a.m until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. 

She is survived by her husband Leroy Austin, Sr., sons, Leroy Austin,Jr., 
Michaeal Joseph Austin and Shaun Lee Austin. Daughters, Tatia Carter, Anissa, 
Susan, Bernita and Kathy Austin. Brothers, Anthony, Stanley and Noel Durkins. 
Sisters, Zeovie Redmond and Laura Jones. 33 grandchildren, 31 great-
grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie Johnson Durkins and Alexander 
Durkins, Sr., sons, Harold Dwayne Matthews and Harry Matthews, Jr., brothers, 
Hayward, Willie and Alexander Durkins, Jr., and sister Dianne Durkins Scoby.
