Roger J. Bourg, Jr., age 98 passed away at his home on Sunday, November 3, 2013 
in Napoleonville. 
He was a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Napoleonville, LA. 

He was a bookkeeper, tax preparer and retired Secretary/Treasurer of the 
Assumption Police Jury.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 10:00 am until time 
of funeral service at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville. Mass of 
Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am 

with burial to follow in St. Anne Catholic Church cemetery in Napoleonville.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law; Roger J. Bourg, III and Barbara 
D. Bourg. Six grandchildren; Byron and Dana Bourg of Baton Rouge, Scott and 
Carmen Bourg of Baton Rouge, Jason and Laura Bourg of Donaldsonville, John and 
Joyce Swann of Eunice, Fenwick and Celeste Swann of Luling and Mary Bourque of 
Lafayette. Eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenie LeBlanc and Roger Bourg, Sr. 
First wife, Margie L. Bourg and second wife, Myrtle B. Bourg, daughter and son-
in-law, Neila B. Swann and Fenwick A. Swann.

An avid hunter and founder of the Plattenville Hunting Club and a great father 
and grand-father.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Carolyn Andrew, 
Jenny Andrew and Barbara Jones for the loving care which was extended to him, 
Thibodaux Regional Home Health Services and especially to Nurse Maria.

Arrangements are under the direction of Landry’s Funeral Home.
