He retired from Texaco after 35 years of service as a crane operator on the "Baby Doll". He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was deeply loved in return by his family and many friends. He enjoyed playing music for many years with his son, Carrol Jr. for family and friends. But some of his favorite moments were spent hunting and trapping. He also loved a good game of Bourre and Pedro. The family would like to thank the Bayou Dularge Volunteer Fire Department for all their assistance in the last several months. To those special friends and family who stepped in to help whether it was cutting the grass, helping with repairs around the house or just sitting and visiting with him, your kindness is greatly appreciated. Special thanks goes to Journey Hospice, the staff of Bayou Home Care, Dr. Harry McGaw, Dr. Jeffrey Long and the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA ======================
