He was a native of Terrebonne, La and resident of Gloster, MS. Visitation will be on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 9:00AM until service time at Annunziata Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00AM at Annunziata Catholic Church with burial at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Dulac, LA. He is survived by his, loving wife of forty two years, Yvonne Pertuit Duplantis, parents, Irvin and Drusella Eschete Duplantis, brother, Eric Duplantis and wife Paula, sisters, Vera Duplantis Chaisson and husband Vincent, Debra Duplantis Winstead and husband Wayne, Maureen Duplantis Lirette and husband Larry, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, son, Gerard Jude Duplantis, grandparents, Clarence and Velina Duplantis, and Henry and Hazel Eschete. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church of Houma, La, St. Joseph Catholic Church of Woodville, Ms, and Holy Family Mission Church of Gloster, Ms. He served in the Navy for four years as a medic, retired as respiratory therapist from Chabert Medical Center, he was an ordained Deacon of the Roman Catholic Church. He was involved in Prison Ministry. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid gardener, who loved camping, fishing, cooking and enjoyed technology and computers. Connely was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cathoic Charities Prison Ministries.
